Turkey stocks higher at close of trade; BIST 100 up 0.07%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Non-Metal Mineral Products, Technology and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.07% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Batisoke Soke Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS:BSOKE), which rose 9.96% or 1.13 points to trade at 12.48 at the close. Meanwhile, Baticim Bati Anadolu Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:BTCIM) added 5.90% or 0.26 points to end at 4.67 and Cimsa Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CIMSA) was up 3.91% or 2.00 points to 53.10 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Bera Holding AS (IS:BERA), which fell 7.76% or 1.32 points to trade at 15.70 at the close. Alfa Solar Enerji AS (IS:ALFAS) declined 4.25% or 3.25 points to end at 73.15 and Turkiye Garanti Bankasi (IS:GARAN) was down 3.12% or 4.30 points to 133.50.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 341 to 219 and 26 ended unchanged.

Shares in Cimsa Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CIMSA) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.91% or 2.00 to 53.10.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.71% or 19.76 to $2,751.14 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.50% or 0.38 to hit $75.82 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.59% or 0.47 to trade at $79.47 a barrel.

USD/TRY was unchanged 0.01% to 35.64, while EUR/TRY rose 0.08% to 37.13.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 108.16.
